COULEUR DE PEAU: MIEL
There are 200,000 Korean children scattered around the world since the end of the Korean War.
Born in 1965 in Seoul and adopted in 1971 by a Belgian family, Jung is one of them.
Adapted from the graphic novel Couleur de peau: Miel, the film looks back at some key moments in Jung’s life: the orphanage, the arrival in Belgium, family life, difficult adolescence… He tells us about the events that led him to accept his mixes. Uprooting, identity, integration, maternal love, as well as the blended and mixed family, are all themes addressed with poetry, humour and emotion…
Produced in an astonishing mix of real and drawn images, between the present and memories, occasionally using historical and family archives, “Couleur de peau : Miel” is an autobiographical animated story that explores new lands.
