« Un drame intimiste puissant…. Rodrigue Jean signe un film à la fois troublant et hypnotique »
Marc-André Lussier, LA PRESSE

Montreal, buried in snow. While cranes dance their hypnotic ballet in the middle of the town centre, two strangers meet in an unfinished flat. A chance encounter, a violent attraction, an unreasoned addiction… The first man is of Russian origin, an acrobat by profession, but a broken leg has changed his destiny. The second one is impassive and very elegant, filled with unspoken statements. Who dominates whom, who manipulates whom? For love is painful and human relationships are complex. Approaching love between men head-on, The Acrobat is an intimate and terribly intense film that dissects the phenomena of desire, manipulation, jealousy and masculinity.
